How do I get rid of acne on my forehead and get rid of greasy face?
I have been struggling with acne on my face for almost a year, and I still have weird spots on my face, but nothing major, major problem spots on my forehead. . They will not go. I try to wash my face using oil control Nivea (my nose and forehead fat) twice a day and exfoliate once a week. Before I tried different acne specific products, but I constantly using Nivea oil control, moisturizing and exfoliating time to time. . . Have you any advice (without having to purchase different products) to get rid of acne on the forehead and face were minimized fat (which is really annoying my nose and forehead are very greasy and shiny, although that after washing my face with water / wash your face will remain normal for one hour or two.) Just to know, I do not use products like hair gel / wax.

Don’t worry, this phase will pass when puberty is over.

Try a clay face mask, it will draw the oil out of the skin.

You’ve not mentioned whether you are in the habit of putting wax or gel into your hair? My son had a really clear complextion apart from his forehead, when i got him to lay off the hair products for a couple of weeks he noticed that it started to clear. So he then just wore his hair shorter so it didn’t need so much stuff to control it. As for the oily skin, you need to try a toner, an astringent product that helps to close the pores after you’ve cleaned your face.

If you do buy products for your skin make sure that it is created for oily skin and that the product are oil free based to avaoid creating further oil. The oil is due to your hormones and is perfectly normal. Unfortunetly some people are just prone to oily spotty skin buy thank goodness there are products on the market to help. Make sure you use a good clenser, tomer and oil free moisturiser to keep the skin looking fresh. I would advise you to do this morning and night this should hopefully help. All the best x

Hi there,
Acne can be a real pain. Oily skin helps with the condition as it allows dirt to be trapped in the skin, which blocks the pore and causes the dirt and sebum to back up in the pore, resulting in a blackhead, whitehead or pustle.
The only thing that has ever been effective for my forehead acne (small bumps) is Benzoyl Peroxide which I am sure you have used before. An excellent one is from Paula’s Choice 2.5% Blemish Fighting Solution (available at http://www.cosmeticscop.com). Once you apply it, wait for it to absorb and you MUST use a light moisturiser over the top otherwise you will still get pimples (I have experimented with this combo!).
You can also try glycolic acid (in a toner or moisturiser) to help control the oil and reduce pimples. Any acne treatment in a cleanser will not help as the active product will be washed from your skin.
Your skin is naturally oily, however there are ways to control this depending on your age. If you are under 16, then your oily skin will likely balance out as your hormones stabilize. If you are older AND female, then you can try a birth control pill like Diane 35 that blocks androgens that cause an overproduction of oils. It will take at least 3 months to see results.

Grow a fringe to hide it!!
I think you have to go and buy more products to be honest, if you have tried the usual of drinking lots of water, taking Zinc, Vitamin B and E supplements and eating lots of fruit and veg.
I am honestly not on commission for this (i keep recommending it) – buy some Dermologica products. They are the skin care system researched and developed by The International Dermal Institute. They are really good. Let me know if you want the web site address, they do online consultations, send you free samples to try and then you can buy if they work.

Nu Skin has a product that will help with your breakouts and will not dry your skin out at all. It is very effective on blackheads, red skin, and there aren’t any shiny effects.
It’s awesome! I am on hormone pills, so my skin changes all the time and I still never have a problem.
